We were in California at Dana Point  when we heard the news on the radio.
It wasn't clear if the people involved in the invasion and shoot out were military or Ex Mexican Military.

However the news out now is plain and simple.

The consensus of opinion from the Phoenix, Arizona police is that at least some of the six cross border raiders were ex-Mexican Army personnel involved in the home invasion homicide on Monday.

The thoughts of the Phoenix Police officers are that the drug cartels are now performing cross border home invasion raids and murders north of the border i.e. Arizona. The past few months have been difficult for the Mexican Police and some of the drug cartel members who have assumed room temperature. As a result, some members of the remaining Mexican drug cartels are moving parts of their operations into the United States.

Let me say that I worked to get Bill Clinton in office in both Presidential Runs.

We need to bring respect back to this country and put service to the people before personal gain in our elected officials.

I first ran for elective office when I was 20 years old.

I had great idea's that I believed were shared by more than a few people around town. My background was simple, I had worked for The Jimmy Carter campaign and I was a staunch democrat!
The small town that I ran for office in was pretty much midwestern, redneck, and stuck in the 1950's as well as being the home to a famous Republican senator.  They didn't like change, and they were set in their ways.
BUT I Ran, and out of the 8000 votes cast in the primary, I squeaked out a loss with 1240 votes.

This was a learning experience. I had experienced the good with the bad and did it all on my own dime.

The town is still there, still small, stuck in the 1950's to this day and they still resist change at every chance.

But the experience to voice my opinion and grow was worth all the effort, sarcasim, teasing, and trauma that comes with growth in knowing opinions are like ass holes, every one has one!
